Jack Rose, 1971-2009

“Jack always played as if light was shining down from heaven, and in those rays he could create this sound… hearing him that night in the upstairs ballroom was magic – the way his notes carried through the air and filled every space.”

The sad news is true. Jack Rose has passed away at the young age of 38. There are numerous posts about it all over the internet. In specific, Windy Weber has written an amazing piece about Jack and what he and his music meant to her; the above quote is from the eulogy she wrote for him. I’ve posted a link to it below along with some other words about his passing. There’s no doubt Jack Rose was an amazing guitarist, one of the best. And he was a great friend to many people. My condolences go out to everyone that knew and loved him.

If you are not familiar with his music, I encourage you to watch the various videos below.

Rest in peace, Jack.
